It was a blast teaching some of the Memphis Fire Department drone pilots to fly FPV. On Friday, I paid another visit to the fire academy. This time to practice some close
-quarter rescue maneuvers inside of their disaster maze. FPV Drones provide the precision and control needed to execute missions in tight spaces. They are currently utilized by everyone from swat teams to Ukrainian EMS rescuers searching cramped rubble piles for civilians. Flying first person between exploded schoolbuses and inside narrow drainage pipes has taught me to appreciate the risks that these brave men and women face to keep Memphians safe.
